One of the greatest privileges of my fraternal life has been mentoring and supporting our undergraduate Brothers. Working alongside them has reminded me of the energy, passion, and vision that keeps Omega strong, allowing me to pour into younger Brothers the same way older Brothers poured into me throughout my life.
Here are five things I’ve learned in the process:
They are hungry for guidance. Undergraduates want to be led, taught, and supported — but they also want to be heard.
Structure is everything. Helping them stay on top of paperwork, deadlines, and reporting builds habits that last beyond college.
They see Omega as a movement, not just an organization. Their creativity and enthusiasm push all of us to think bigger.
Accountability matters. When we hold them to high standards, they rise to meet them — and often exceed our expectations.
They remind us of our “why.” Watching them grow and develop reinforces why we joined this Brotherhood in the first place.
Supporting our undergraduate Brothers has been both humbling and inspiring. It’s a reminder that we’re not just keeping records for today — we’re building a structure that will support their success tomorrow.
